Manit is a seasoned leader with a global perspective, having lived and worked in six countries across four continents. His drive for strategy and innovation fuels his passion for high growth, always seeking opportunities to create value and make a meaningful impact.
Throughout his career, Manit has held Executive Management and Board positions in a wide range of industries, including Mining and Refining, Education Publishing and EdTech, Investment banking, Financial services, Aviation, Thermal and Renewable Energy, Printing and Paper, among others. His ability to drive successful turnarounds in many of these industries is a testament to his focus on corporate culture, operational efficiency, financial discipline, and strategic acquisitions. Manit understands the significance of people within organizations and has nurtured inspired teams that propelled some of the companies he led to top 5 positions nationally and even globally.
Prior to founding Crescentia Innovo Investments and Advisors (CIIA), Manit served as the CEO of a prominent African mining group, affiliated with Global Emerging Markets (GEM), an alternative investment firm. During his nine-year association, this mining group underwent an impressive transformation, leading the group from the brink of bankruptcy and operating a single mine to becoming an eight-operation powerhouse. Under his leadership, the group achieved market leadership, boasting the largest gold production in Zimbabwe and ranking as the 5th largest private sector diamond producer worldwide.
Education has been a cornerstone of Manit's professional journey. He honed his leadership skills and strategic acumen at his alma mater, the prestigious Harvard Business School. Manit is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accounts in India (ICAI) and the ISACA in the USA. Furthermore, he holds an MSc in Finance, having studied at the LMBS and the London School of Economics. He went to school at Mayo College. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Manit finds immense joy and fulfillment in his role as a family man. For thirteen years, he has been happily married, blessed with two adorable children. Recognizing the significance of work-life balance, Manit made the decision to transition from his role at the GEM group after enjoying fourteen very enriching years with the firm, embracing the opportunity to start his own venture with CIIA.
